Story Behind This Painting: I saw this Crested Duck while on a trip to teach a watercolor workshop in New Orleans, LA. I had never seen a Crested Duck before and thought the little tuft of feathers on the head made him look both regal and funny at the same time. I loved the dark blue water in contrast to his bright white feathers.
