Story Behind This Painting: I taught a class on using ink with watercolor and waterlilies were the subject. This painting was created by drawing with an archival, waterproof black ink and then I painted with watercolor over the pen lines. The pink lily and burgundy lily pads are a great contrast to the variety of surrounding greens.
