Story Behind This Painting: On the first morning, during a trip to Germany, we took a walking tour of Trier. The town was just waking up and the light had just touched the buildings in this scene. I painted this as a demonstration for a class learning how to use ink & watercolor together. The ink adds a nice textural effect to the watercolor washes.
