Story Behind This Painting: These aspen were just starting to change color and the bright blue sky of Colorado is peaking through the tree tops. The young tree in the foreground looked like it could be encountering its first fall, thus the title of the watercolor.

Watercolor canvas is a newer surface that watercolors can be painted on. The canvas is then sealed with an archival sealer to protect it and it can be framed or left with a wrapped canvas edge.
