Story Behind This Painting: In 2012 I got to visit Monet's Garden in Giverny, France. It was an inspiring experience because Monet has always been one of my favorite artists and I love painting waterlilies. This is a close-up of one of the lily groups I photographed that day. The light on the edges of the petals is making them glow.
