Story Behind This Painting: This cyclist was on a professional cycling team riding in a race through Denver, CO. I used a panning method while taking the photo to blur the background and keep the cyclist in focus. I used this in the watercolor by creating a blurred background, it gives the cyclist the feeling of speed and motion.
