Story Behind This Painting: The photo for this marching band watercolor was taken during my son’s high school marching band days. This scene was from a Veteran’s Day parade in Colorado Springs and parts of Pikes Peak can be seen in the background. I love the limited palette and the pop of bright red feathers and uniforms against the shiny metal of the helmets and horns.
