Glass and Metal - Select and image to see the complete painting
It is a thrill to paint the little abstract shapes in glass, water, and metal. With strong values and observation of color changes and reflections, these abstract shapes create the realistic glass, water, or metal object. I started painting reflections on water in landscapes and then around waterlilies. A few years ago, I became intrigued with painting metal band instruments while my son was in marching band in High School and now have a series of band paintings. The subject of reflections will continue to play a large roll in the images that I choose to paint.
