Story Behind This Painting: I love to collect vintage and antique glass. I set up a still life with some of my pieces and then started adding and taking away. I am also an avid birder and have collected some glass birds, so of course some of these made it into the setup. As I was playing with the layout a title came to me and made me think in a broader sense about my favorite things - birds, reflections, glass, travel (therefor the Eiffel Tower), color, and of course painting! My large color swatch became the mat on which it all sat and the reflections this created in the glass was fascinating to paint and look at!
